Cupping therapy is a traditional healing technique in which special cups are placed on the skin to create suction. This suction gently lifts the skin and underlying tissues, increasing blood circulation, reducing muscle tension, and promoting natural healing and relaxation. Rooted in traditional Chinese and Middle Eastern medicine, cupping has been used for thousands of years as a complementary therapy. It can be performed as dry cupping, which uses suction only, or wet cupping (Hijama), which involves small superficial incisions to draw out blood.
